Shirin Najafi grew up in Northern California and graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in Economics. Following college, she worked in investment banking for two years before disappointing her immigrant parents and pursuing a career in entertainment. She has written on Hulu's "Futurama" revival as well as NBC's "American Auto", "Connecting", and "Grosse Pointe Garden Society". She is an alumnus of the Sundance Episodic Lab and NBC's TV Writers Program.
